I mainly started this blog to give myself a push to get back into reading. Growing up, I was not seen without my nose in a book for any long period of time. At home, in class, on the subway...whenever I got a chance, I was reading something. I loved to read. I would skip dinner and not go outside because I was too busy trying to finish my latest book. I could read 2 books a day if I really got going. But after I got out of school and started working, I could barely finish a book. I would start one, get distracted with life, put it down, and it would sit and wait...never to be picked up again. I missed my bookworm days...books were like my friends growing up. My life was not in anyway exciting, but with a book you can travel anywhere and be anyone. I missed that. So I decided to get on on it. And this blog is my way of keeping myself on track. My personal book journal, that I can look back on and see my progress. After every book finished..I would come here and write down my thoughts, mainly for me. If someone else read it and wanted to join in...hey that was a plus. So after a couple years where I was lucky to finish 3 books...last year, in 2009, since I started documenting my progress here, I have read 86 books!
I feel proud. Out of those 86 books, most were enjoyable, but a few really stood out. Here they are (not in any specific order):
